Valentia Even Glow Serum Review

While I’m very much an advocate of affordable beauty products, sometimes it’s worth spending the extra money to get a high-quality product. This is probably most true when it comes to skincare. The quality of your skincare is something that will impact your skin throughout your entire lifetime, unlike buying a cheap mascara. I’ve been exploring new skincare avenues for a while now, looking for natural ingredient based products that won’t irritate my sensitive skin.

Keep reading to see what I thought about the Valentia Even Glow Serum!

Packaging: 9/10

As silly as it seems, my first impression of a product’s quality always comes from its packaging. As soon as I picked up the box, I could tell immediately that the product was high quality. The box is your usual cardboard affair, but the gold trimming reminded me of high-end perfume packaging, and the neat information listing on the sides was really helpful. All the product claims are listed on the front of the box for you to see, and the back has ingredients (and explanations of why those ingredients are included) as well.

Once you open the box, the product is packaged inside a small dropper bottle that has a plastic seal around the neck to insure that it’s tamper-free. I love that Valentia does this, since I’ve been at drugstores or other beauty stores and have realized when I got home that somebody has already opened the product and tried it before me. The bottle itself also has all of the ingredient information printed on it as well, so that way you don’t have to worry about losing that information once you toss the box.

Pricing and Value: 8/10

Being the stingy college student I am, it’s really hard for me to justify splurge purchases, even for skincare. The bottle contains 1.18 fluid ounces of serum, which is not a ton, but in all honesty will probably last me a good long while. The price is originally listed as $85 on Amazon, but it’s currently on offer for $35, which is an awesome discount. (Purchase here:

Quality: 8/10

I was kind of put off by the idea of applying it using the dropper, so I ended up just pulling the dropper and using my finger to dab it on. The consistency is pretty light, and it absorbs really quickly. Instead of having to walk around with it sitting on top of my skin, it absorbed within one or two minutes and left my skin feeling soft and hydrated.

The scent was really nice, as well. Since it’s a Vitamin C antioxidant serum, it has a distinct citrusy smell to it. It’s not super strong, but it smells nice and sweet (think an orange grove in summer).

Since I’m only in my teens, aging is not particularly a problem for me (yet). But I did notice that my skin felt smoother and softer, and I had less problems with dry skin than I usually do. I’m hoping to see some improvement in some of the hyperpigmentation I have, but I haven’t been using the product long enough to deliver a verdict on it.

Final verdict: 8.5/10

I’m really eager to keep using the product every night, and I would definitely consider repurchasing! In terms of pricing, Valentia has kept this serum super affordable, and if you’re looking for something to add to your skincare routine, I would definitely suggest checking this serum out.
